Strengthening the
back muscles.

EXERCISES TO OPEN THE CHEST CAVITY.

This file is not a "programme", but a presentation of recommended exercises to reach this objective.
You can include some of them in your regular training.

They are suitable for both men and women!


OBJECTIVE The exercises proposed in this file were chosen to satisfy two criteria:
  • Open the chest cavity and improve the quality of the respiratory volume through stretching exercises.
  • Straighten the back by making the stays of the dorsal spine and the scapular fixator muscles more efficient.
You must always bear in mind that work on the pectorals tends to round the back,
pull the shoulders forward,
close the chest cavity.
MEANS It is important to differentiate between the two types of work.
STRENGTHENING THE MUSCLES:
For the dorsal part.
Heavy work with dumbbells or pulleys.

STRETCHING:
For the anterior region.
Work without equipment or light dumbbells.
(3 to 4 kg)
The aim is to find the optimum release when you have reached the maximum opening allowed by the joint.
