Hydration
    

Water, the basic element for all life, is the most important factor to be monitored for the athlete.
A loss of 2 % of the body weight reduces performance by 20 %.

Dehydration thickens the blood, the circulation of oxygen, nutrients, glycogen and mineral salts is reduced.

Water also lubricates the tendons, hence an increased risk of tendinitis, cramps and other muscular accidents when the volume of water decreases. Poor elimination of nitrogenated waste due to a lack of water increases the risk of tendinitis.

 SWEATING DOES NOT MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT!

Fat is not eliminated by evaporation, but only by improving the quality and quantity of your daily diet and also by increasing your energy expenditure through regular physical activity.
Sporting activity increases the level of uric acid and urea in the body and leads to greater consumption of potassium.
If you do not drink enough water, urea crystals form in the joints and lead to gout attacks.

In addition, a protein-rich diet produces urogenesis. Urogenesis causes osmotic polyuria, which means that if there is insufficient water in the blood, water in the tissues is attracted by the proteins in the blood, then eliminated in the urine, resulting in dehydration.
