PRONATION, SUPINATION, MIXED GRIP
Ways to grip the barbell in bodybuilding.


Supination
Pronation

    

       Mixed grip


Application in the deadlift.


The MIXED grip, since the arms are not worked, cancels the rotation of the bar, therefore relieving the stress on the finger flexors caused by the heavy weight.

Application in a movement of the biceps


SUPINATION is used for exercises in which the elbows must not move apart.
Apart from some triceps exercises, but in this case, the hands are close together.

       Pronation grip


Application in a rowing exercise

PRONATION makes it easier to keep the spacing between the elbows, working in this case the scapular fixators.
