PUMPING IRON

Physical activity or plastic art?

The purpose of BODYBUILDING or PUMPING IRON is to improve your physique using weights, dumbbells and machines. One might wonder whether pumping iron is a product of modern society.

PUMPING IRON is not restricted to exercising in the gym, it also implies a healthy lifestyle both in terms of food and rest.
It is not simply a question of "pumping iron", the bodybuilders are strong, but this is not their primary objective.

Increasing muscular mass involves three factors:
       Reasonable, but not exhausting, training.
A balanced diet with sufficient proteins.
At least 8 hours sleep a day.

Most important of all, SMOKING IS ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED since it prevents the assimilation of proteins.

But ... PUMPING IRON is not necessarily a synonym of monster.
The aim is to improve your body to produce harmonious shapes and proportions. A woman bodybuilder does not need to look like "Mr OLYMPIA" by stuffing herself with male hormones.

You cannot claim that you are a bodybuilder, have big arms and forget your legs and abdominals.

It is a matter of harmony.
